"Bring new life to your home with textiles" was the main message during the Ikea press meeting in the conceptstore Ikea Haarlem [NL]. It made me realize again how important textiles are in (home) living. A fabric has many faces: expressive, warm, stylish, functional, cozy, comfortable.. Designers Barbara Bendix Becker and Mette Bache from RB7 Copenhagen explained how they created the Malin collection and let us touch the textiles. 

Catalogue 

We all know the Ikea catalogue, 212 million spread worldwide.. The first issue was produced in Sweden in 1951. During the Ikea press meeting Mia Lundstrüm introduced the new Ikea catalogue 2013 and launched the Ikea app for mobile and tablet.

With this useful app you're able to scan selected pages in the printed catalogue to unlock extra content, images, films, 3D models and information for more (textile) inspiration.
